Nursing Home Administrator (Submitted 10/17/17)
Ambassador Nursing & Rehab, located in Chicago, is Searching for an outstanding Administrator to lead their facility!

The Administrator leads and directs the overall operation of the facility in accordance with resident needs, federal and state government regulations and company policies/procedures so as to maintain quality care for the residents while achieving the facility’s business objectives.


  • Possess a four (4) year Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Must be a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
  • Maintains a current, valid Illinois State Nursing Home Administrator’s License
  • Possess a minimum two (2) years applicable management or comparable experience in a long term care setting 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Demonstrates knowledge of age specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric residents in directing the overall operation of the facility’s delivery of care.
  • Works with the facility management staff and consultants in planning all aspects of facility’s operations, including setting priorities and job assignments. Manages turnover and ensures adequate staffing through development of recruitment sources, and through appropriate selection, orientation, training, and staff education
  • Manages facility budgets and business practices to include labor costs, payables and receivables.
  • Develops positive relationships on behalf of the company with the government regulators, families, area health care community and the community at large.

  • Develop and work with regional marketing personnel on census strategies
  • Develop and coordinate all corporate marketing activities
  • Provide support to the company’s facilities throughout the region
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with Corporate Marketing Department vendors
  • Develop marketing campaigns and collateral material for the company
  • Manage multiple projects & deadlines
  • Recruit, hire, train and evaluate members of the marketing staff

  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ year’s related experience 
  • Experience using Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Adobe Suites 
  • Experience in census building and knowledge of working with regional teams is a must; some travel is required
