A well-established non-profit organization has a position opening for an experienced Administrator in its Joliet , Illinois , senior living community which includes nursing, rehabilitation, residential care, and independent living. There are 137 licensed beds, and non-licensed independent living apartments. The facility participates in both Medicare and Medicaid, and maintains a high overall census, and a high private pay mix. It has almost entirely private rooms.

This position reports to and works closely with the Board of Directors to foster the Catholic faith-based values of its sponsoring religious congregation. The recently renovated and expanded facility has a strong reputation, a five star rating and a tradition of proactively seeking ways to better serve its residents. Primary functions would include operations and fiscal oversight, strategic planning. And fund development, code compliance, personnel management, staff development, resident services, and marketing and admissions. Candidates should have special knowledge in operations and finance in long term care and demonstrated competence in business management, personnel, person-centered care, and quality assurance. A successful candidate will be self-directed and task oriented with a capacity for leadership in the progressive field of senior nursing and residential care. There should be evidence of a solid track record. An Illinois Nursing Home Administrator's license, or out-of-state licensure with Illinois eligibility, is required.

A Master's Degree in management, nursing, or a related field is preferred, but not required. Salary and fringe benefits are negotiable, but will be in the range necessary to attract a highly competent individual.
