We are currently seeking an Administrator to manage our 240-bed facility located in Evergreen Park, Illinois.

Position Summary: The primary responsibility of this position is to direct the day-to- day operations of the facility, and in accordance with all federal, state, and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern skilled nursing facilities. Ultimately responsible for ensuring that the highest degree of quality care is delivered at all times.

Must possess a current, unencumbered Nursing Home Administrator's license in the state of Illinois. The qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3-5 years experience as a Skilled Nursing Facility Administrator.

Specific responsibilities include 

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's programs and activities
  • Ensure that all employees, residents, visitors, and the general public follow established policies and procedures
  • Oversee the human resource functions of the facility, to include personnel management, employee performance accountability, and ongoing education and development
  • Manage all ancillary, operational and clinical departments (directly or through a chain of command)
  • Ensure the safe and confidential care of all residents in alignment with clinical and other support staff
  • Accountable for all financial and budgetary responsibilities. Makes recommendations for change and/or cost savings and growth opportunities. Manages to budgeted expectations
  • Leadership skills, desire and flexibility to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic healthcare environment are essential.

Must have the ability to develop and implement creative solutions to meet business needs, strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple high priority initiatives. Must be a critical thinker and problem solver with a strong sense of teamwork, effective written and verbal communication skills. A strong ability to build and maintain relationships with all constituents.

Regional Administrator (Submitted 10-2-09)

Progressive Housing, Inc. is a statewide not-for-profit agency currently looking for a Regional Administrator/Licensed Nursing Home Administrator to oversee all aspects of four 16-bed ICF facilities in Central Illinois for individuals with developmental disabilities. This position requires flexibility and a willingness to travel within the State of Illinois .

Duties include:

•  Oversight of Residential Service Directors at four homes located in East Peoria , Taylorville and Pana , IL .
•  Monthly audit of the following per home
•  Resident accounts
•  Accounts Payable
•  Petty Cash
•  Resident summaries
•  Resident IPP's
•  Resident daily programs
•  Nursing documentation
•  Oversight of all operations per home (maintenance, DSP's)
•  Complete Plan of Correction for any tags from Public Health
•  Travel to each location per week

•  On-call 24/7

Requires:

•  Bachelors Degree
•  Nursing Home Administrative License
•  Valid State of Illinois drivers license

Preferred candidate:

•  2+ years experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
•  Bachelors Degree in Human or Social Services

•  Criminal background check from the State with no disqualifying convictions
•  MVR to drive company vehicles
