MDS Assessments: CMS Recalculation Update for PDPM States
CMS sent out an email to providers in PDPM states indicating that they have recalculated all impacted MDS assessments that have already been submitted and accepted within iQIES. CMS has made available a file in the provider’s MDS 3.0 Final Validation Report folder, which contains the correct system-calculated HIPPS code for each affected assessment. IHCA is offering a short webinar this Tuesday, November 21 at 11:00 am for providers that will explain how to look at these changes to make sure they are accurate and reflect the resident you are coding for. This webinar will be recorded if you are unable to attend live.
