Programs
The Illinois Health Care Association (IHCA) and Illinois Center for Assisted Living (ICAL) offer a variety of programs to assist members in their daily endeavors, to help develop leaders within the long term care profession, to recognize the hard work and dedication of long term care center staff and more.
ICAL Art for the Ages
ICAL’s new Art for the Ages program is intended to be a way to recognize the unique talents of the seniors residing in our assisted and supportive living centers. Do you have a painter, sculptor, quilter, knitter or other type of artisan in your community? Take advantage of this new opportunity, which allows your residents to be recognized for their creativity and will bring positive attention to your center. Click here for more information.
Assisted Living/Supportive Living Directors Certificate Program
IHCA/ICAL is offering an extensive certificate program to assist AL/SLF Directors in their operations. This program will take place over the course of 7 months and feature face-to-face sessions, as well as web seminars. The program will total 20-22 clock hours of continuing education and will conclude with a luncheon/graduation. Click here for more information.
IHCA Excellence Awards
The Annual IHCA Excellence Awards Program (formerly the Annual IHCA Awards) recognizes the outstanding work going on in long term care centers around Illinois every day. IHCA made a number of changes to our awards program last year in order to better serve our members and give them the opportunity to be recognized not only for the accomplishments of their staff, but of their centers as a whole as well. There are two seperate pieces to the IHCA Excellence Awards--the IHCA Excellence Awards-Staff & Specialty and the IHCA Excellence Awards-Long Term Care Centers. Click here for more information.
Illinois Leaders
IHCA’s Illinois Leaders Program works to develop leaders within the Association and Illinois’ long term care profession. The program is modeled after the American Health Care Association’s Future Leaders, with an exclusive group of IHCA-member professionals chosen for their demonstrated leadership skills, support of the Association and an interest in pursuing leadership pathways to improve their personal and professional skills. Graduates of the Illinois Leaders Program will receive priority nomination for the AHCA Future Leaders program. Click here for more information.
IHCA Preferred Vendors Program
IHCA members enjoy exclusivity within the Association. Our IHCA Preferred Vendors are an elite group of Associate Member companies who offer members specialty products or services that are not widely accessible, or they answer specific, special needs of the IHCA membership.
