Education

Education is one of the main components of the Illinois Health Care Association’s mission statement: “To lead in advocacy and education for our members.”

IHCA has a distinguished history of providing a variety of outstanding educational opportunities for long term care professionals including face-to-face seminars, web seminars and an annual convention and expo offering more than 80 educational sessions.

IHCA’s education programs have long been recognized for their up-to-date information, practicality and excellence, providing health care professionals with the crucial information they need to provide the highest level of care to Illinois’ 100,000 nursing home residents.

IHCA's Education Access Virtual Learning Platform

IHCA offers on-demand recordings of sessions from some of our educational events. Register for the sessions you wish to access, and once your registration is processed, you will receive information on logging in to the new platform where you will be able to access the recordings, along with presentations and other handouts, for the sessions you have purchased. The platform automatically tracks your participation, and once you have completed the on-demand session, you will receive continuing education credit. Certificates of completion will be added to our CE Central database, so you will be able to access them whenever you need to.

Continuing Education

Continuing education is available at all IHCA education programs. The Illinois Health Care Association is approved as a sponsor of continuing education for nursing home administrators, licensed nurses, social workers and physical therapy by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
